eFTI Essentials: Who Does What, and by When is a one-hour introductory webinar designed to provide a clear and practical overview of electronic freight transport information (eFTI). The session is particularly aimed at those who are new to eFTI or would like to refresh their understanding before exploring the topic in greater detail. From 9 July 2027, every competent authority in the European Union will be required to accept freight transport information shared electronically through a certified eFTI platform. While this will be an obligation for authorities, using eFTI will remain optional for companies. In just one hour, participants will learn: – What eFTI is and why it matters – Which problems it is designed to address – Who the main actors are – What their respective roles and responsibilities are – Which key milestones lie ahead – What eFTI means in practice for competent authorities and economic operators. The webinar will also provide a useful starting point for following upcoming eFTI discussions and activities.
