The 13th International Logistics Congress, Supply Chains in Science and Practice, took place in Portorož, Slovenia, from 8 to 10 April 2026, once again bringing together logistics professionals, researchers, technology providers and supply chain decision-makers from across Europe and beyond. Organized by the Slovenian Logistics Association, the congress has established itself as one of the leading logistics events in the region, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices and innovative solutions shaping the future of logistics.
This year’s edition attracted more than 800 participants from over 25 countries and focused on some of the most pressing challenges facing the logistics sector today. Discussions covered supply chain resilience, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, telematics, sustainability and the growing importance of data-driven decision-making. In a rapidly changing global environment marked by geopolitical uncertainty, regulatory changes and increasing customer expectations, the congress highlighted the need for logistics organizations to become more agile, connected and technologically advanced.
A significant part of the program was dedicated to digitalization and the future of freight transport information exchange. Experts and industry representatives presented practical examples of how emerging technologies are improving operational efficiency, increasing visibility across supply chains and supporting more sustainable transport operations. Particular attention was given to the role of artificial intelligence, automation and interoperability between information systems.
One of the highlights of the 2026 edition was the return of the TelematicsCEEurope Conference & Expo, which provided additional focus on connected transport, fleet management, telematics solutions and real-time data exchange. The congress also featured an international academic symposium and a student hackathon, further strengthening cooperation between industry and academia and encouraging the development of innovative logistics solutions.
Among the exhibitors was our partner Trinet Informatika, which showcased the eFTI4LIVE project at its exhibition stand. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about electronic freight transport information exchange, about electronic freight transport information exchange, the practical implementation of the electronic consignment note (e-CMR), and the future framework for digital communication between businesses and public authorities across the European Union. The strong interest shown by visitors confirmed that digital freight transport information exchange is becoming a key topic for logistics operators, transport companies and public authorities alike. Discussions at the Trinet Informatika stand focused on interoperability, e-CMR implementation, digital document management and the upcoming eFTI requirements that will reshape information exchange across the European logistics sector.
