On 28 May 2026, eFTI4LIVE was presented to the Network of Experts Transport & Logistics Digitalisation of CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council.
The online workshop offered participants an opportunity to learn more about the eFTI Regulation, its implementation roadmap and the role of eFTI platforms in supporting the digital exchange of freight transport information between economic operators and public authorities.
The session included a live demonstration of the ABONA e-CMR and eFTI Platform, showcasing how digital transport information can be managed and shared within the future eFTI ecosystem. The demonstration highlighted the practical benefits of integrating eCMR and eFTI functionalities to support more efficient, secure and interoperable logistics processes.
The workshop also featured several insightful presentations from industry representatives. Lennart Heip from Dow Chemicals shared perspectives from the chemical industry, while the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) presented its eFTI4LIVE pilot project focused on dangerous goods declarations for import containers.
The event provided a valuable forum for exchanging views on digitalisation challenges and opportunities within the transport and logistics sector, while raising awareness of the role that eFTI can play in supporting safer, more efficient and more connected supply chains across Europe.
