Connecting beyond borders: exchanging ideas in Brussels

On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, several eFTI4LIVE project representatives from Estonian Ministry of Climate, Trafikverket, Gefeg, Oltis Group and EET (eFTI Experts Team) joined a networking workshop with the EU4Digital project at the Brussels office of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).

Held alongside the Connecting Europe Days, the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and support the Western Balkan countries in their local eFTI legislation development on the development of national eFTI solutions.

The EU4Digital initiative supports Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia in developing their national solutions for electronic freight transport information. The workshop provided an opportunity to connect with colleagues working towards this shared digital transition and exchange perspectives across different national contexts.

The meeting brought a cross-border dimension to our discussions in Brussels, creating space for networking, mutual learning and dialogue on eFTI. Sharing experiences across projects and countries can help build a common understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved in moving towards digital freight information exchange.

Thank you to the EU4Digital representatives and everyone who joined the workshop for the exchange. We look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring opportunities for further cooperation.
